fiddlin'
sunday - a day of rest...sorta. i slept in an hour later cuz i wasn't leading worship today (got up at 6am rather than 5am). sat in 1st service, did a new member interview 2nd service, taught the college classs 3rd service - outside on the deck - nice, came home to accompany a bunch of cindy's students on their fiddle recital. it was pretty fun.

cleaned up after the recital, went out to our friends the whitaker's house for dinner. just got home around 10pm. well, really Saturday is the sabbath anyway.

cindy's student looks a bit old.
That there picture looks suspiciously like one generation of the Tanner clan of "Gid Tanner and the Skillett Lickers" whose traditional recordings reside in the Smithsonian Institute. Phil Tanner(3rd generation) is a good friend of mine and a fine guitar and fiddle maker in his family's time honored tradition!
